Who are these people anyway?

So we've told you a little bit about the hotel, and what it can offer you during your stay in Blackpool, but who are the people running the show?  Here's your chance to meet the members of the band who are on hand to make your stay an enjoyable one

Dave & Sarah

Under new management from 2011, Dave & Sarah have joined the Valdene Hotel team. Both are from Essex, and are happily married.

Sarah has worked in financial administration and customer service, and will be the first person you see at breakfast, dinners, and welcoming you to our hotel. When she’s not cleaning rooms or working to ensure you’re stay is the best it can be, she’ll be kicking back and watching Eastenders, her one true vice. Sarah is also qualified in childcare, and worked for several years as a nanny, where it has been said that she was the biggest kid out of all of her charges.

David has worked in many positions in the retail and catering industry, and does an excellent Gordon Ramsay impression while cooking. His laid back attitude has occasionally been mistaken for a deep seated laziness, but he’s easily motivated by the promise of Jaffa Cakes! David is filling Bob’s shoes in the kitchen, and is also in charge of designing this web site, and ensuring everything is up to standard

Bob & Linda 

Sarah’s Dad, Bob, and his wife Linda have worked tirelessly to turn the Valdene Hotel into a clean, well run hotel, serving generous  helpings of delicious food and  ensuring each guest feels welcome throughout their stay.  Taking a backseat this year to take time to relax, as well as spend more time in their bar in Goa, India, you will still be sure to see them around the hotel often, making sure Dave and Sarah are working hard!

Most likely you’ll see Bob running around, cheerfully complaining about how he has to do everything, while Linda looks on in long suffering silence, with a few consolation shopping bags under each arm.

Simon

When he’s not playing darts or falling out of pubs, Simon does the odd night in the bar.  With his smooth charm and quick wit, you are sure to enjoy your nights in with Simon, whether discussing politics or Chaucer, Simon’s unique views will hold you captivated.
